531. May 3, 2021. #17. I have the FTZ adapter. I got it with the "Deal" on my Z50 ($99). I use it with both my Z50 and Z5 so I can use all my collection of F-mount lenses on either body. I think I would use the extra "reach", but based on prior posts and test results for the dismal Nikon 24-120 f3.5-5.6 and the 24-120 f4, I think a new Nikon Z 24-120 is a real challenge for Nikon with its 5:1 zoom ratio.

If the F6 has that, it might be worth a roll of film testing its accuracy before replacing the focusing screen. B.

With the TC mounted to the lens autofocus will not work. I've tried it with both my D7200 and D750. Without the TC, the lens focus instantly on both cameras.

If the DX magnification effect is what you are after I suspect the D500 is the better choice. It is fastest on the D500 and Z 9. And noticeably slower on the Z 6 and Z 7. On the Z 9, the AF performance of the adapted 500PF is just as fast and accurate as the native 100-400.
